23rd January, 1912.
Sir,
I have much pleasure in testifying on behalf of Mr. Chas. H. Welch as assistant master.
Mr. Welch is a sincere hard worker bringing to his work mental qualities of high order and an outlook
upon the world of teaching which, whilst recognising the good on traditional methods, would infuse ideas in
forms of drawing that would make his work inspiring.
Mr. Welch is a lucid, methodical lecturer and freely uses the blackboard in demonstrating: his own
practice is of a very good type both in design and draughtsmanship and I am confident that the sincerity,
earnestness, and zeal he has always shown would soon be reflected in the work of his pupils.
I am, Sir,
Your obedient Servant,
(Signed) W. B. Dalton,
Principal.
